Brainstorming workshop for a local green group

What did you organize, when, where and for how many people?
I organised and facilitated a brainstorming workshop for the local green group that formed after the local screening of the documentary, Tomorrow. This group is made up of local green minded people, who are passionate about our planet and are willing to do something for it locally. Took place at one of the member's eco-guesthouse on the 4th of May and 13 people attended. It was supported by Greenpeace Hungary as well, they sent a representative.

What were the main goals and objectives of the activity?
The goal was to come up with small, doable projects that can be executed in short term and would have some sort of impact on people's views.

What were the main outcomes and results of the activity? We came up with lots of ideas, then, by voting, we chose 2 as the main ones. We then split into 2 groups and each group worked out the details of implementation of the two main projects.

Are there any other relevant aspects related to the activity, a conclusion or future plan? Out of the 2 projects one has evolved further and after a second meeting on 3rd of August we set out a date for it on the 13th of October. The project was about raising awareness of plastic overconsumption by giving out reusable, handmade textile bags made out of reused materials, and leaflets and running a stand on the local farmers market. The project was a total success and more events like this will follow. The other project was the eco-swap platform for which we submitted the plans earlier this year, but it hasn't been implemented yet.
