Deep Ecology in Finca Al Limón

What you organized, when, where and for how many people?

I have facilitated an activity on Deep Ecology, on August 5, in a training meeting in Permaculture. This meeting organized by the Environmental Education Association "Ecoluciona", took place in a space enabled for this, called "Finca Al Limón", in the province of Malaga, Spain and we were a group of 18 people.

What were the main goals and objectives of the activity?

The objectives were to pay full attention to the natural environment, to connect with nature from within, to feel part of it and therefore reflect on our actions towards the respect and care of the Earth. Also we wanted to connect with our interior, to finalize an action plan, share it with the rest of the participants, committing ourselves to carry it out.

What were the main outcomes and results of the activity?

The participants became aware of the present and of the natural environment that surrounded them, through mindfulness. There was also a connection to emotions, therefore to ones true essence, serving as a guide to the participants' true purposes of life. This connection was shared among all, which created an atmosphere of possibility, enrichment, empathy and group feeling.

Are there any other relevant aspects related to the activity, a conclusion or future plan?

The participants described the activity as a healing experience, of reconnection with themselves, with nature and with the group. necessary activity every time in our lives, not to live an automatic life, pay attention to the present and redirect towards our true purposes of life.
